The stage from 0 to 3 years old coincides with the first step into the educational system for children, where the evolutionary process of each child must be taken into account. At Qguis, we respect each child’s process and accompany them in their development, while also helping them acquire habits and autonomy.
So, what do we do at Qguis to achieve the happiness of the children and, at the same time, foster their learning?
At Qguis, we learn through play and experimentation, we laugh and share many moments together, we get dirty and explore different elements and we are amazed by each new discovery. At the same time, we focus learning on the three main areas of education in this early childhood stage.
COMMUNICATION & LANGUAGE
Through music, play, crafts and reading time, we introduce verbal, body and visual language.
SELF-DISCOVERY
We carry out various activities to get to know ourselves and discover who we are, as well as to connect with other children.
DISCOVERY OF THE ENVIRONMENT
Experimentation and manipulation are key to working in this area, which is why we focus on various related activities.
What do we do at Qguis: our activities
ROUTINES
Each morning we start the day with the “Good Morning” song, we learn the days of the week and we observe the weather.
STORYTIME
We tell stories with visual aids for the children, such as puppets, illustrations, books etc.
HABITS & AUTONOMY
We learn to eat on our own, to go to the bathroom indepently, to wash our hands and to greet and say thank you.
CRAFTS
We draw, paint, shape, glue… All these activities help us develop our visual arts language.
MUSIC
We begin music stimulation, discovering new sounds, moving our bodies and exploring various instruments.
EXPLORATION
We experiment with themed tables and also with the light table with different elements.
ENGLISH
Through stories, songs, and other activities, we introduce the learning and understanding of English.
PSYCHOMOTOR SKILLS
We set up circuits to work on psychomotor skills. And we don’t stay still in the playground!
Celebrations
We celebrate the traditional festivals of Catalonia but we have also introduced celebrations from other cultures and regions that we have adopted over time.
